It’s so good! I remember going to a beauty store last year during the cold weather season and asking if they had anything to actually take care of my lips – not just repair and not just protect but like something to improve them over time. It’s like MAED heard me because this isn’t just a product to heal damage and it’s not a product just to protect – it is skin care for your lips. Using it makes my lips feel and look softer, more even, and I have less flakes. The color is so soft and beautiful, and it is natural-looking enough to swipe on for a no-makeup day pick-me-up, but also luxurious enough to put on with a full face of makeup. I very rarely go through an entire tube of anything, but this one will need replacing soon because I use it constantly.

Firstly, can we take how cute the packaging is? This exfoliating lip polish is so elevated and I love the warm colors of the tan annd red especially as we are approaching fall! I love having this product apart of my lip care routine. It’s so hydrating especially because I naturally have dry lips. To me, the texture is a perfect balance as it’s not greasy but it’s also lightweight. It’s lightweight but still gentle and effective. After using for weeks, I definitely have noticed a difference in my lips feeling more smooth. Overall, I truly love having MAED apart of my ritual. I have a luxe experience every time I use as I’ve noticed when I put on other lip products such as lip glosses or lip sticks, they glide on such much better. 10/10 recommend forsure!

Maed has been shaking up the lip product market since launching last year with their iconic Lip Rituals ....a complete skincare routine for your lips .... and their signature red lipstick. I love that Maed uses only the best clean ingredients, leaving out all the nasties, while staying 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
Ritual Red is a flattering blue based red that beautifully complements my fair neutral (leaning cool) skin tone. My favorite thing about this lipstick is that it’s packed with skincare ingredients. Tucuma Butter and Jojoba Esters keep lips hydrated, while Maca Root Extract and Cherry Coffee Seed Oil nourish and help reduce the visible signs of aging. I feel great wearing it knowing it’s treating my lips while providing a stunning pop of color.
The formula is richly pigmented, hydrating, lightweight, and comfortable, without the dryness that many mattte formulas can cause. The longevity is also impressive, it truly lasts all day without the need for constant touch ups. It didn’t feather or settle into fine lines, which is a huge plus.
The only drawback for me was the application process. It’s a little messy, and can easily transfer onto teeth, clothing, or skin before it sets. Once it dries down, however, it stays put beautifully. If you love a bold matte red lip (it’s the only shade available from Maed), this one is absolutely worth checking out ....just take your time with the initial application. I’m excited to see what Maed comes out with next!

The MAED Signature Lip Pigment Matte Liquid Lipstick is exceptional and the pigment is long lasting. I love how if feels over my lips and even when eating or drinking a cold drink, it does not budge. It stays intact which I love especially when I go to work for prolonged hours. The packaging is exceptional and the product is easy to apply because of how it is designed. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a long lasting lip color that is kept intact for long periods of time. The ritual red hue is mesmerizing and looks great over my lips.
