As a fan of Dr. Whitney Bowe's Asta C Vitamin C Age Defense Serum, I've had a similar experience to many others. While the product is marketed as a powerful solution for brightening, evening skin tone, and reducing hyperpigmentation, I haven't noticed these specific effects. However, this doesn't diminish my appreciation for the serum. In fact, I still love using it as a daily moisturizer. Unlike what some reviews have stated, I find that it works exceptionally well on my oily skin. It's not sticky or tacky at all; it feels lightweight and provides just the right amount of hydration. Although the serum may not deliver on its age-defense claims, its texture and moisturizing properties make it a valuable addition to my skincare routine. It's a great, non-irritating product for daily use, especially for those with oily skin types seeking a perfectly balanced and lightweight moisturizer.

"I’ve been using Dr. Whitney Bowe’s Asta C for about a month now, and while there are some things I like, I’m not totally sold on it.

First off, the product itself feels nice and absorbs well, but I noticed it made my face really oily—especially when I layered it with my usual moisturizer. After some trial and error, I found it works better for me if I skip the moisturizer and just use the serum on its own. That helped a bit with the oiliness.

In terms of results, my skin did look a little brighter, which was nice. But I didn’t see much improvement in texture, firmness, or fine lines. For a product that’s supposed to help with wrinkles and discoloration, I was hoping for more noticeable changes.

I do appreciate that it’s fragrance-free, vegan, and packed with antioxidants like astaxanthin and newer forms of vitamin C. The ingredients list is impressive, and I love the idea of a streamlined, science-backed routine. But for me, the results just didn’t justify making it a permanent part of my skincare lineup.

ASTA C Vitamin C Aged Defense Serum skincare came in a blue box and the product was inside in a purple bottle. It’s a pretty bottle and quite heavy. I needed to use 2 squirts because I don’t find enough came out with just one squirt. The serum is almost a cream that is brown and very easy to smooth on your face. No fragrance, which is a plus in my book. It has vitamin C which is suppose to help with dark spots. I have been using the serum for about 30 days and I really don’t see that much of a difference. But that doesn’t mean it won’t after a few more weeks. I will continue to use the product.
