I received this product as part of promotional slash education event, in exchange for a fair and honest review of the product. I love this set. First of all I love the bonding oil so much, it is a regular staple whatever I straighten my hair. It works as an amazing heat protectant while also keeping my straightened hair frizz free, and it's the only heat protectant that doesn't cause a ton of product buildup and make the feel and texture of my hair odd. This duo also gave me the chance to try out the Bond smoother and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoy how nourishing and moisturizing it is for my hair. I have very fine here. My hair reaches all the way down to my mid thigh level. My hair is untreated and unprocessed and it is to be.

The OLAPLEX Iconic Shine Set is a dynamic duo for my textured, gray hair. As a woman of color my hair type is 3c and can be extremely coarse in hot weather. Also, my gray hair tends to be wiry and somewhat unruly. The OLAPLEX No. 7 Bonding Oil provides great hydration for the hair without being greasy or heavy. The oil is quickly absorbed into the hair and adds a nice healthy shine. I used the oil exclusively on dry hair. Now for the second pair in this dynamic duo: the OLAPLEX No. 6 Bond Smoother. Again, I applied this product to dry hair to smooth flyaway edges around the hairline. This cream absorbs quickly into the hair and did not weigh it down. I was able to style my hair in my go-to ponytail and smoothed the edges down for a clean slick look. Overall, I am very pleased with both products
